Letter to ParentsGood news, it’s Bowl-A-Thon time. This year is the 5th Annual Bowl-A-Thon. Each year is very successful for youth who get pledges. There are a lot of activities coming up and I know you do not want your child to miss these activities because of finances, so get started today by taking pledges for the Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser. How it Works: The Bowl-A-Thon is simple. Each person receives a folder with Pledge Sheets and an envelope. He then asks friends, relatives, neighbors, etc to make a pledge for each point he bowls. At the Bowl-A-Thon he will play as many games as possible in 3 hours, hopefully 3 games. He then takes his best game score and multiplies that by the amount pledged. He then collects the contributions and turns them in by Wednesday, April 13th. Every dollar your child raises goes into his/her activity account and can be used to pay for any church sponsored activities, campouts, retreats, concerts, etc. For the Bowl-A-Thon, we will meet at the church on Sunday, April 3rd following the morning assembly. We will then depart on the bus to the Bowling alley and bowl from 2pm to 5pm. Each person needs to bring their pledge folder with them to the bowl-a-thon. Each person who participates will be charged $7.50 from their account to cover the cost of the bowling alley and shoes. Each person will be responsible to pay for their own food, drinks, and snacks. Please arrange to pick up your child by 4:30 at HOJC. During the Bowl-a-thon your child’s pledges will be calculated and totaled. The folder will be returned so that collection can begin. The group turning in the most money by Wednesday, April 13th will have a pizza party during class. Thank you,
